Excellent Value
We stayed at the Eagle Tavern for 6 days whilst visiting family in Leeds. Our recently refurbished room was lovely and spacious, though without a TV, and the bathroom too was lovely.
Breakfast was ample and served by very friendly, attentive staff. We were, though, disappointed when we ate there one evening, and decided to eat out on other nights.
The Eagle Tavern is located in something of a wasteland location, being surrounded by warehouses and showrooms. However, a stroll into the centre of Leeds takes about 10 minutes, while the trendy suburb of Chapel Appelton, with its wide array of restaurants, is ten minutes\' away by car.
All in all, the Eagle Tavern provides excellent value for money and we hope to return there next year.

Lovely Stay
Lovely BnB, Friendly and helpful staff. Was given information on what buses we needed to get to the Ed Sheeran concert, which was extremely helpful. It was the only hotel I could find that wasn’t charging a ridiculous amount. We wouldn’t have been able to stay otherwise. Definitely recommend and will stay again.

We had lunch there which was most enjoyable and the breakfast was really good, hot and freshly cooked to order. Definitely would choose to stay there again if we return to Leeds.

A Rainy Weekend In Aug
We had a very pleasant stay at Eagle Tavern. We stayed there for the Ed Sheeran concert. The landlady was very welcoming and gave us lots of useful information. The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable, the room was decorated to a high standard. We walked to the tavern in less than 20 mins from the railway station. A little out of town but great for our needs. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Thank you Eagle Tavern

Just Ace!
I can\'t think of anything even remotely approaching negative to say. Great location for City Centre: The room was beautiful; comfortable and spotlessly clean - and we loved the bath! Breakfast was lovely; staff helpful and friendly; service great. We stayed at the Radisson Blu - supposedly a 4* hotel - a couple of weeks ago and it didn\'t come close. We come to Leeds quite often and will definitely look here first when next visiting.

Maren Morris Gig Sat 25/05/2019
My wife and I stayed here for the Maren Morris gig back in May when I found this place to stay by mistake. I\'d got fed up of looking at over-expensive city-centre chain hotels so I started looking at things to do and places to see. I searched for establishments that stocks/sold Samuel Smiths lager and stumbled accross this tavern/Inn. It WAS looking like id have to shell out close to 200 shmackos to stay in Leeds for one saturday night. So when I accidently found that ET would not only put us up in a newly renevated, swanky and classy room, itd give us an full english in the morining and all for £80 - you\'ll forgive me why I\'ll rave about this place.
Not only does it stock many different Samuel Smiths alcholic beverages (if you havent tried any, I recommend the Pure Brewed Organic lager - you\'ll never want to drink anything else ever again), it allows you to stay there too. Class.
The only slight let-down (and i mean slight) was the thin windows, you can ask for a room that isnt facing the main road but since we were going to gig and would be suitably watered by the end of the night, the noise wasnt going to bother us. It didnt.
The Bathroom we had was seemingly brand new, you could tell they put some pride into the renovation of the rooms.
The service too is friendly and warm, from checking in to checking out. You really felt as if you were one of the family.
Parking, if youre driving from out of town is a doddle. You can use their parking after a certain time or you can use the multistorey car park, \"Trafalgar\" i think its called for a reasonably priced £10 overnight stay. Its a short walk with some bags if you dont mind it (approx. 8 minutes)
The Eagle Tavern is 13 minutes walk from the centre or 2 minutes by cab.
Overall, the stay was brilliant and i will definatley be visiting the eagle tavern again.
Thanks guys!

We have stayed here before - the room was very comfortable and pleasant.Roomy bathroom and shower. Breakfast is excellent. No tv in room on principle ? Also no mugs but this was an oversight - and the soap dispenser didn\'t work over the sink which was annoying. A nice old pub.Good architecture.Very quiet on a Monday.

Hidden Gem
Just had a lovely night away here, the staff couldn\'t do enough for you. We had a car and they put it in the courtyard so it was secure. With it being a Samuel Smiths pub very cheap beer, good home cooked food and lovely atmosphere. The room was spotless and very nicely decorated, had tea/coffee facilities and no TV which was a refreshing change. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of it, great quality as well. All this for £80. It\'s a 10 min walk into the centre and is on a busy main road but we didn\'t hear anything and had a great nights sleep. Would highly recommend.

Oasis In A Regenerating Area
What a gem of a place! Apparently it was completely refurbished 2 years ago, and to a very high standard. The double room was overlooking the main road but there was very little traffic noise to disturb an excellent night\'s sleep. The manager could not have been more helpful or welcoming. My wife and I ate our evening meal, good Yorkshire fare, well presented and piping hot as was the good substantial breakfast although if you like your fried egg runny I suggest you make that request. The room was spacious with plenty of hanging and drawer space. The modern bathroom has bath with a shower over which has tremendous water pressure a real joy to use, and fluffy white towels. We would definitely stay again.

I have stayed in his pub/hotel twice now and cannot recommend it highly enough for value for money. The pub has a pleasant atmosphere and the upstairs rooms have been recently renovated to a high standard. The internet is also strong - crucial if working and not always the case. This was our 2nd stay at the Eagle Tavern and again it was an excellent experience. The rooms are out standing and the warm friendly service from Sarah is 2nd to none. The cost of £80 included a freshly cooked breakfast to order which was at least £30 cheaper than any other hotel in the city centre. Nice Decor, Shame About The Service.
So the Eagle Tavern has been recently renovated, and its really nicely done. Nice clean presentable rooms, tasteful decoration.

But there\'s few facilities in the rooms, there\'s no hairdryer or TV for instance, this may be because the rooms are newly completed and await these features but they are charging main-street prices so these facilities should be included.

Worse is the service. Coming downstairs to a pre-arranged 9am breakfast to find the pub still littered with used glasses and the (frankly) mess of the night before is not pleasant, even worse is finding you are the only people down there, and having to phone the managers to get them out of bed.

Suffice to say the full-english breakfast turned into toast and rancid butter, given we couldn\'t wait an extra 1/2 an hour for them to get the kitchen fired up.

Wont be visiting again, and I recommend you dont either.
